How to love like God

How we should love

King James Version Chapter 4

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God

Love one another

this love does not mean the secular love

This love is a sacrificial love

The love of the world is a selfish love. It is a "I love you now you do this for me."

Love for a person and their good as understood by God's moral character. Willing to forfeiture f rights or privileges in another person's behalf

this love is closer to the love you will have in your marriage

We like the part about wives submitting to us men but there are those parts that we have to remember. That before the they are to submit. the bible says that we all are to submit.

Ephesians 5:25 

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Ephesians 5:28 

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Love we will have for one another

He call them beloved, he called them what you would call your friend. Your loved ones. That is how you we should look at everyone.

Romans 13:9 

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God

To show this love is to show what God had done for us.

God loved us enough to die for you. God gave himself for you.

To know God is to understand after seeing what God has done. You are a child of God. You have watched God do amazing things in your life and in the lives of those around you and seen how much God loves you. YOU have opened that bible and you have seen how God loves his children.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

So how do you love? Do you love for gain and for you own. How do you show love? Is the love you think you show is really love. If you know that the love that you have been shown and have received was not the love of God. That the love you feel is not the kind of Love of God, then it is time that you know. It is time discover the love of God.
