New Year's Resolution...To remember you are new in Christ

New year’s resolution, but your new self is already here.

I know that we just celebrated the birth of Christ and we praise what he came here to do. Now as the year is ending everyone is making new year's resolutions. A declaration to being a new version of themselves. But you have to remember something, while everyone is trying to make themselves into a new person, we that are saved in christ are already a new person.

2 Corn. 5:17

     Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Roms. 6:6

     Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

When we accepted Christ in our lives we are a new creature and we no longer need to live in the ways of the world.

Eph. 4:21-26

    If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

    

          22       That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

    

          23       And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

    

          24       And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

          25       Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

    

we can lose weight, we can get in shape, we can read more but when we are a new creature in Christ we gain something that we can not earn on this world. So while we are making resolution just remember, You made the biggest resolution already when accepted Jesus Christ in your Life.
