Difference between peace of the world and peace with God
Peace I have with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27
There is a difference between in the kind of peace in our lives. There is the peace in the world where to be honest comes from ignorance. The phrase "ignorance is bliss" is very true. that peace comes from a numbness to the sin in this world. It is a peace to the prince of the air having a control of your life and letting sin rule you. That is the kind of peace that the world gives you. A peace built on a lie.
But there is a peace given to you by almighty God.It is the kind of peace that Christ had through persecution, through accusations, slander and hardship. This is the peace Christ had through the temptation in the dessert. He had the temptation just as we do and he had peace. That peace all the way to death is the same peace that all who believe him have because is it a gift of God that he has given you.He had the inn knowing the truth. That he had came and defeated the devil and had died to take away the sins of the world and help you have a relationship with the holy Father
So I'm curious to know something, what kind of peace do you have? How did you come to that peace? Was it through painful numbing and acceptance of how the world works? Or was it through knowing the truth and receiving it as a gift as you declare the name of the Lord as your Savior?
