Status or Salvation

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Daniel 3:16‭-‬18 KJV

A little Back story, prior to this Chapter these young men were among the princes captured to be trained and brought into the fold of the Babylonian hierarchy. They, along with Daniel, Were given new names, were taught the language and customs of their captors, and learned the ways of these new people. God had protected them while this happened

These three men were heads of their position and rulers over the people by the king's decree.  They were in positions of authority, yet they did not forget how they came to that position.
They knew it was not the king who placed them there, but God. They knew that allowed them to be in captivity. And to be in authority. So the Lord would be with them in this trial as well.
Never let your status affect your fellowship with God and never allow your faith in God to be hindered by the works of this world.  These men had money and to a certain degree power. And there was even a part of them that knew that God did not need to save them. none of that Hindered their faith in the Lord.
What is hindering your fellowship with the  Lord? A better question is Why is it hindering your relationship with God?
