When pride cometh, the cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2
When you have pride you can become blind to what you are doing around you and you can make mistakes. Your pride can force people from you and you can cause great shame to yourself.
Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility

Pride leads to the downfall of all, no matter who it is. when you live your life based on your pride. It will destroy you. But when you live your life for God and do what his will is for you. If you were to lower yourself, humble yourself the same way Jesus humbled himself. Then you will have wisdom. You will have honor.
