How much does your life cost?

What is the price for your life?

  The bible says in Romans 6:23 that the wages( or the cost, the price) for sin is death. But you may say that you don’t sin, but what does sin mean?  How do you know you have sinned?

Sin

1. Disobey/defying God

1. The Bible describes sin as disobeying the will of God.  Sin is not seeking after God. 

1. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one Rom 3:11&12

2. In Sin we are without hope and we are Strangers to God

1. That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world  Eph. 2:12

3. Who is a sinner and who is not a sinner?

1. The bible says that all men are sinners.  

1. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Rom 5:12

2. As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Rom 3:10

3. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God Rom 3:23

The Cost of sin?

1. The Cost of Sin Is death.

1.  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 6:23

2. The price for your sin is death, you can’t escape it. We all will die due to our sin.

But there's a way out of the cost of Sin.

Through Jesus we have our salvation from the death of sin. 

1. Rom.  5:5&6

1. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

2. Rom. 5:8&9

1. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

We are no more Enemies with God 

1. Rom. 5:10&11

1. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Our Salvation is A gift from God. 

1. Rom 6:23

1.  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2. Col. 1:20

1. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

All you need to do is to Accept the Gift 

1. Rom 10:9-11

1. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 

We are all facing the End and the fear of death is all around. But in Jesus we no longer fear Death. Will you make a decision and accept what Jesus has done for you?
