Jesus is call for by the Law and the Prophets

Observation

Jesus declared himself to be the fulfillment of the prophets from the first time he went to the temple and read from the Torah. The law was given by God to show the people what it means to be righteous and what is wrong. It was used to show who and what a sinner was/ is and then condemn them for their sins. In the book of Galatians, it was explained how the law was actually just designed to bring us to Jesus. (Gal. 3:21-26) Where the law calls for someone to fulfill the law. The prophet predicted who would fulfill it.

Interpretation

Law

In Matt. 5:17 Jesus announced that he did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill the law. He came to carry out the sacrifices that were once done with bulls and goats that would need to be without blemish, sacrificed by people who also had to be blameless. Just look at that breakdown. A perfect sacrifice was done by a priest who is without sin. Who else could it be but Jesus? He was born perfect. Without sin or blemish. Jesus is the only choice overall.

Prophets

The Prophets called for the Messiah since the time of Isaiah. The description of the Messiah and how he would come to earth and how he would save and redeem us. Was Jesus to a Tee. From birth to death and the way he would die. Jesus was foretold to come and save the world and redeem us all. Isaiah 53 describing the savior and Psalm 22 depicting how He would be forsaken by God for our sakes. Jesus was everything that the Prophets were told he would be.

Application

The bible has declared the coming of Jesus throughout the bible. The law pointing out that we need a perfect person to perform a perfect sacrifice. To the prophets giving perfect details on who the Messiah would be and how they would come to this world. With all the evidence stacked up against non-believers, it is clear to see that Jesus is the savior and all we need to do is trust the bible and believe it.
