1 peter 2:17

"Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king."

In the mission field we will be put in situations where we will meet people who we will not like, we will not want to deal with and will test our patience. It will take an strong force to swallow our "american pride" in thinking we are the best of the best and we can look down on the national. In that same breath, we can not look at the native with a annoyance when they correct you when speaking their language or showing you their customs. 

We must love they and respect them for they are our family as we grow in Christ. We will be their big brothers and sisters as we introduce them to the father. We honour them for giving up their old ways to embrace the new just as we were embraced when we first join the family of God
