Missionary References in the minor prophets

Malachi 1: 11

“For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the gentiles; and in every place *incense shall be offered unto my name and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord.”

From the dawn of days to the end of days and every day in between God’s name shall be great among all nations, both the Jew( the light to the Gentiles and servants of the Lord) But to the gentiles as well. His name was to be exalted and praised by all man, all nations of all the world. They shall make offerings unto the Lord when they know his name and worship him. In Amos God spoke of the judgment and punishment of all the nations including Israel from ch.1-4. God was going to smite all the people for their transgression against him. In the same breath in Ch. ‘5:4-15  he talks on seeking him who can do all things, who punishes and who strengthens to “seek the good and not the evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you , as ye have spoken.” (v.14) God wants us all to turn to him and to loves him and when all nation come to him they shall live and be blessed under him.
