Prayer and Planning. (Devotion, Proverbs 3:5-6)

Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart: And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths."

Lord, am I trusting in you? And not just by saying "yeah Lord I trust you to....." and just ramble off something. But am I truly trusting in you? Lord have I told you my Goals and not given them over to you to make sure they line up with your will? Or have I told you that this is what I was going to do?

God is a God of plans. From creation to salvation God is a God who plans. He knows the outcome and he has provided a plan for the outcome. God does not do anything by accident. if the creator himself did not do anything my accident for by passively just letting stuff happen around him. Then as his children can not just go by the wayside and just let stuff happen to us. We can not plan for everything that will happen in this world, but we can go to God and make sure what we do plan lines up with his will on this earth.

Lord, I want to follow You, setting goals that align with your will for my life. Thank you for creating me with unique gifts and talents to use for Your greater purpose. I want to go where you're going. Please show me how to set goals the way you desire. I need your wisdom on planning and purpose so I can steward what you've given me—my time, my money, my work, my relationships, my health—right where I am. Open my eyes to Your truth and help it move from my head to my heart to my hands. In Jesus' name. Amen
