psalm 3

A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.  Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah
.
I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

I watched a man shout this Psalm out at the top of his lungs last night, So loud and dragged on I thought he would pass out. Although it was entertaining.it was also shows you just how passionate this pastor felt about this verse. David was running from his own child for fear of death, his enemies have multiplied and would mock him and say There is no help from God for you. Much like Christians today we have opposition in our faith and people we call your faith into question and in times of trouble they will mock and say where is your God to help you. BUT, and this is the good stuff comes, BUT the lord is a shield to protect you, He lifts you up when you are in troubles. When you cry out to him, He will hear you.

You can rest easy knowing that God will silence My enemies he will break the teeth of the ungodly and If you have ever had sergey pop you in the mouth boxing then you know how it is to get him in the mouth. But that is nothing compare to that right hook of God that will break their teeth and silence them.

Finally the salvation that belongs to the Lord will be upon you, his people and you will be secured and blessed.

Amen
