Leviticus 10 1-2

In this this we see the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, being punish for their sins against God. They decided to offer incense at the time that wasn't set for them, As well as starting there own fire instead of using the fire at the altar. 

Now this passage was not talking about God punishing them for lighting a incense. It was the fact that they did not listen and follow God plans and were inpatient and could not let God to work in his own time.We are his servants and his children. We are meant to sever and obey. Not try to run God because when we do things ahead of God's time and by ourselves with out him, we are punished, maybe not with fire but with disappointment and failure.

Father please forgive us for our impatience and our pride to thing we can decide when you should do things for us. Work in our lives so that we may follow you always and forever.
