Leviticus 5 &6:1-7

In the beginning of Leviticus we learn about the offerings and the traditions the children of Israel had to perform to repent and absolve themselves of their sins and trespasses, These were works that God ordained them to do in order to show just how much loved him and wanted to do right by him. These were also a test to show how they are will to abide by him and want to do good works for him. But as we see throughout the bible, the law and the offerings were now fully whole heartedly by the Jews. But yet still they deemed themselves worthy.

I can relate to this because I have seen people do this still today in many different fields. At work my coworkers believe they deserve promotions and more pay but their work nor their attitude did not show that they were focused and deserved the increase. In the church we suffer from this as well, we are children of God through the word/ his son Jesus, and we meant to do good works and change our ways and show just how much the love of God has better our lives, but when we only act like children in church then live in sin outside of it. Not only are we repeating the sin of the past, but we are also leading people away from God and are placing blemish towards Gods work on our lives. I want to thank Kason for his Devos from Ephesians yesterday on Good works. Because no work is Good without God being involved.
